i'm not going to ignore him. i like knowing what happens, and besides- if he's here, he's here. i guess it's actually quite analogous to the whole anonymity debate- can an ignored person amke a valid contribution? i hope i'm not the only one leaning towards 'not if i can't hear them'.

i bet he's already ignoring me though. it'd be much easier than solving the problem.

I don't know what else can be done. His only purpose in life seems to be to tell other people why he thinks they're wrong, in the most arrogant tone possible. When anyone tries to talk to him about civilly, he ignores it, or calls it slander.

make us all mods, so we can sanction him. unlike the rl economic equivalent, his being here is voluntary, there are other forums. and there are rules here, if he doesn't want to follow them we shouldn't have to all ignore him.

Sadly, I have no power to promote anybody. We should all have the ability to do that, I'll ask Pom.

Also, sanctions?

Sanctions? What do you have in mind?

From now on all FT's posts will be edited to include pleases, thankyous and smiley faces until he learns to be polite on his own?

Yea, I should have figured that this board wouldn't change. You're all still posers with a yen for authority behind your Anarchist labels. You're all defective people.

Nice
How long do you think we can have a free and democratic society if we insist on maintaining totalitarian systems in our companies? We must have freedom for individuals and organizations to grow and to realize their potentials.

i was thinking a temporary widespread boycott, until the offender agrees to meet the guidelines. and we don't need to ignore, we can just not reply to their posts.

i knew 'sanctions' would raise some eyebrows.

This worked for me better than ignoring.
