Killed by capitalism; There is no justice

Postby pearlcrash911 » Wed Feb 15, 2017 9:45 pm

My ex-girlfriend just got murdered in LA. It hurts so much, especially because it feels like no one even cares that it happened. So what if she was a stripper! She did what she had to do to survive. She was born into an impoverished and judgmental family that wanted nothing to do with her the moment she turned 18 because they didn't approve of her lifestyle.

Her parents embraced slut-shaming to absolve them of the responsibility to give her an opportunity to live a better life. So she embraced a new lifestyle; by allowing herself to be exploited she finally escaped the crushing poverty that she had endured for her entire life. Can you blame her for going down that path?

Capitalism sustains the patriarchy, efficiently and effectively seducing young women into exploitation. And these women are either too young to realize the dangers inherent in this lifestyle, or have accepted these risks as being worth taking when compared to the squalor they would face in choosing a different path.

Our economic system is rotten to its core, corrupting the disadvantaged and monetizing sexuality to satisfy every desire of the bourgeoisie. And then when they die they are just another statistic. Do you really think the police care when a stripper is murdered by gangsters? Especially when said police have to choose between silver or lead when deciding whether to investigate a gang related crime.

Whoever has the money has the power in our country. So the police turn a blind eye as long as the victim is an undesirable: a stripper, a drug addict, or a POC. There won't be any justice. There is never justice for the lower class.

Capitalism is the world we live in today. It is not the best world, but it is what we have. So we need to adapt in order to survive. It is a simple concept. You need to be strong to survive in our capitalistic reality, but don't forget about you soul.
