Cracking down on high school kids rights isn't anything new, but hell if it isn't even worse nowadays since Eric Harris and his friend decided to begin what will forever be known as the Columbine Massacre. Officials,at our school at least,have always pointed fingers with a shake of their head, marched us down to the office and told us to turn that shirt inside out. Now, its worse then ever or gets worse when parents realize what their children are "capable" of. "Take off that trench", "Thats inappropriate for school.", "Im sorry but you'll have to distribute the zine anywhere but on school grounds.". I've taken the heat for t-shirts and coats. And now I'm about to embark on taking the heat for an upcoming 'zine. "Gutter Warp". A victim of stupid hysteria? Definately. As for jocks picking on me that I'm gay, well take a female who doesn't date, who tends to have an opinion, and leans towards hanging with the boys, add them together and the label of "dyke" gets stuck to your forehead. Don't we all just love our social lives?

Hi, i have to keep it short... we are a bunch of people from turkey who have anarchist and ecologist views and actions... After J18 and Seattle movements, there was a general tendency here to mark these movements as socialist movements, the distinction in turkey between socialists and people like us are very sharp which may not be the case there... However, here they are lying about these movements as the movements of the labor force for a socialist revolution against capitalism... We know that socialist were involved in actions as well as some religous groups too (these are what we heard so far), but we had a view that most protestors anti-authorian, ecologist, punk or just anti-capitalist .... Now we need detailed information about how J18 and seattle started, main organizers, major groups, worldwide info ... names of groups and their views will be helpful... consider the security of them of course ... what will be done is this: we will explain the true nature of these events finishing with a call for anti-tecnologist movement for the new year of 2000

Please do something to support women labeled "mentally ill" by authorities. These women are usually poor and powerless and being forced into treatment (to give middle class people something to do with their time and make more profits for the drug companies). You radical/progressive groups have seem to forgotten that Hitler oppressed the "mentally ill" first in Germany then went on to the Jews and gypsies. Dear Chuck,

I actually find this website quite hilarious, because I am pissed that the (Yuppie) white man (I am white) can't seem to live in a house that has already been lived in. I live in Lake County, Il, and I can't stand seeing all of our gorgeous trees being chopped down to build $400,000 homes (or $300,000 homes, etc.). I bought my home from my grandmother in 1992, and I am renovating it. Some of these people fly by me on the highways in cars that cost more than the house (my grandma sold it to me for $50,000...it's now worth $90,000). I drive a Geo Metro because it gets 53 MPG and that helps the environment. I have at least 10 bumperstickers on my car...Mean People Suck, Mean People Produce Little Mean People, etc. Every time a yup-yup gets behind me I laugh my ass off! There stuck there, and the have to get a reality check in the meantime!

I would like to mention that I'm a single mom with an M.Ed. I put myself through school and I wasn't able too stay at home with my babies while "hubby" made six figures. Being a yuppie is a choice, and they do need a wake-up call. I don't think I could ever be part of any hate crime (which I consider even damaging a Lexus, etc.). But I COULD sit next to yuppies and make comments! That would be cool!

Anyway, I would like to know when you are making bumper stickers and other lively items available. Please e-mail me when you can.

I need to ask this and hope someone will research part or all.
Is America moving swiftly to becoming a Police state?
Our president gave the states extra funding for MORE cops, and now we can't even go to or come home from anywhere without seeing at least one within every 12 miles.
The SPEED TRAPS HAVE POPPED UP LIKE POP CORN IN A MICROWAVE!!
There's one down my road that goes for nearly FIVE miles at 30mph!!!!! and we're five miles out of the city limits.
Oh yeah, the 40mph is about 200 ft. before going up to 50mph.
Is justice only for the rich and "friends" of cops?
I sat in traffic court one day and one cop, not only lied, but the "judge?" found EVERYBODY without exception, guilty.
It seems that every person connected with upholding the law, are the very ones corrupting it.
Where has honesty, integrity, justice and belief in good, gone to in our country?
Or have they just had us fooled? and the bad ones are being shoved to the surface by the good ones?
Or are there MORE bad ones now?

Your Anarchist Librarian web site was put on my library science school announcements list at the University of South Florida today.

I am shocked at what you write, which somehow you connect with being a librarian. Although you of course have the right to write such confused political manifestos, which you wouldn't have in the Middle Eastern countries you seem to admire, I am appalled that you would associate your profession with your politics.

I am sorry to share the same profession with you. The stuff you write is just awful drivel and your idea of "indicting" national leaders in your mind and on a web site is a little scary. You are anything but democratic.

Well, you have a right to disagree. My website has obviously struck a chord within the profession. How else can I account for 180 subscribers on our email list? More and more librarians are realizing that being a librarian means being an activist willing to take on censors and those who want to defund our libraries.

Middle East regimes? I'm opposed to all of them. I'm an anarchist.

You can't dismiss the war crimes complaint against NATO and U.S. leaders. I've heard reports on the CBC and BBC which take the complaint seriously. The U.N. is investigating the complaint also. I won't be happy until ALL war criminals, Serbian and American, see their days in court.

Organizations like yours do not realize that along with the "right" come the "responsiblity" of your actions. I work in a library with no restrictions on the internet. Many minors do not come to do "research" or to get "information" they come to "trash"talk of chat clubs, and destroy their minds through exposure to "XXXX" filth.

It is a federal law that says minors cannot buy adult literature, but you and your organization says all ages should have access to adult literature at the cost of the public tax dollars. If it is against federal and most state laws why should the library be above the law, libraries are not.

Remember, Your and your organziation with give account to God one day and every life that has been destroyed by your actions, their blood will be on your hands.

I will be praying for you that Holy Spirit will open your eyes to the truth, the only truth, Jesus Christ.

Subject: recipies

I have a pasta dish that's pretty good.

Sweet and Tangy Chicken

1/4 pound of chicken, cubed
1 cup pasta sauce *
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup pickles, cubed.
2 cups boiled pasta*
*your favorate pasta and sauce will do.

Directions.

Just cook the pasta and chicken and mix with other ingredience. Very simple.

I haven't really thought of a name for the recipe, so you can name it if you want to use it. By the way, It tastes a lot better than it sounds, so don't just disreguard it. Try it out, it's an easy meal to make.

Also:

Mix 3 eggs with a 12 oz. can of chopped tomatoes and fry like scrambled eggs. This meal looks ugly, but it tastes great.

And a drink:

1/2 parts Kalua
1/2 parts Malibu Coconut Rum
= "No-Problem Yo-Yo"
Try it, it's great.

I'm not an anarchist, but I'm pretty damn close, because I am a little nihilistic and anti-authority. I have my own view of government that I kind of like, It's somewhat of a utopian dream, but I believe that a true democracy, consisting of some elements of socialism, would be cool. The trick is to keep authority away from any small group of people. I guess that's what I mean when I say I'm somewhat of an anarchist.

At my school (Big Sky High School) in missoula, MT won't let students even use the computers unless a pass is signed with how much time and the subject so that we can be monitored. The teachers will even come by and make sure you are working. Am I mistaken or aren't schools suppose to provide the students with education. but how can we learn without being trusted.

While schools are authoritarian institutions that should be abolished, you can fight back in the short term to make the place more bearable. The key is talking to your fellow students. Get them agitated enough to take direct action with you. You have rights to free speech that don't require your parent's approval. There is a common myth that parents have a right to control what you do on the computer. Free speech rights know no age limit.

teenager on filtering

hi there.

my story isn't dramatic, but it's a one that almost everyone my age has. my parents have put web restrictions on my account. they say that since i'm only 15 i'm lucky to have mature teen controls. however, whenever i'm searching on information on any subject, i can't acess at least half of the websites. and when researching anarchism, it's worse. up to three fourths of sites are marked as "inappropriate". up until a month ago, one could submit a web site for review. i would put send a letter to this review board if i was denied access to a site. however, they never listened. and now there is no longer this option at the bottom of the screen. i made a plee to my parents, showing them several harmless sites that i am denied access to. they are usually laid back and will let me have access to anything else i want, from music to books to movies. they seem to be afraid of what i will be exposed to over the internet. i'm not sure why though, i have asked if they trust me and they maintain that they do. both of them allow my the privledge to leave the house whenever i want as long as i tell them where i'm going. i see this as more dangerous then allowing me to sit in a room, where they are often present and search the web. i can't even go online at school, because i go to a small private school where all web sites are monitored and if the site isn't educational then we aren't allowed to go to it. i've snuck on my parents account and changed the settings. they just changed them back. i know that i'm lucky that my parents give me a lot of freedom in so many areas. but that just makes it more confusing to me that they would censor this area of my life.

I was recenly expelled from my high school when a girl lit a garbage can on fire. some ass hole pointed the finger at me and a few of my friends. i was searched and expelled when they found a PACK OF ROLLING PAPERS and a fucking ROACH CLIP! i am now home schooling for one calendar year. because of this bullshit zero tolerance rule, it will be extremely hard for me to get into a good collage. i agree that i shouldn't have had that, but they shouldn't have expelled me. oh yeah, the girl who set the garbage can on fire got in school suspension for 3 days for it. instead of being arrested and charged with arson and endagering the lives of students and teachers. she gets 3 days iss for arson, and i get kicked out for a roach clip and a pack of papers. this is one great school system we have here in this great CUNTry. fuck america. fuck school. Anarchy. total fucking Anarchy. thanks for your time and attention.

I am 14 and am lucky I even got to a site like this. I know it is sad but I am on AOL and they give too much power to the parents. Most of my friends get into their parents accounts and screw with things but my dad is smart enough to keep me from figuring out his password which he chabges to keep me from changing what sites I can get to. I think web filters should be outlawed because it violates my right to know. It also violates everyone else's right to be heard. Thanks for taking time to read this
