Unplugging Clear Channel
<!-- CONTENT STARTS HERE -->
Clear Channel Communications is one of the largest corporations that has control over our airwaves. They boast of having a network of over 1200 radio stations. Mega-media consolidation is a threat to free speech and doesn't allow many people to have access to the airwaves.
We think this situation should be changed. We want a world without Clear Channel. Let's put Clear Channel, and the fat cats that run the corporation, out of business!

The group is protesting the concentration of media ownership by Clear Channel Communications. The Federal Communications Commission is to consider on Monday eliminating many of the restrictions on a single company owning combinations of newspapers and TV and radio stations in the same city. Critics worry television could become like radio: deregulation in1996 allowed companies, like Clear Channel to amass hundreds of stations and cut costs by replacing local shows with national programming. Protesters in more than a dozen cities urged federal regulators Thursday to reject changes that would allow large media companies to own television and radio stations and newspapers in the same cities.
